Orange Calculator 1.5.5

It’s been a while but I have a new update that includes a change to the About Screen with new changelog & license details as well as fixed a small bug that Fixed copy result rather than last calculation to Last result.

This version now also includes Windows packages as well as Debian, Fedora, Executable JAR and Windows EXE, to download just head to Applications

Here are a couple of screenshots to show you what you will be getting.

  1. I’ve been using this calculator for a few years and really like it. It is simple and just the right size. I upgraded recently and have been plagued by bugs.
    1. An old bug—The first digit of square roots is often cut off on the left side of the display.
    2. New bug—Digits are often repeated. If, for example, I try to type “2” I get “22”. If I try to type “14” I may get “114”, “144”, or “1144”.
    3. New bug—When dividing numbers the “/” key sometimes causes the numerator to be repeated as the denominator and yield an answer of “1”. For example, If I want something like “1000/3=333.3” I will, instead, get “1000/1000=1”
These bugs do not happen every time but do happen often enough to make the calculator unusable.
